Rich-Web vs. Old-School Desktop

Zeus utilizes a single Rich-Web interface. Powerful and intuitive Rich-Web interfaces are now the standard in enterprise software solutions. There is no need to load software on clients for engineers, power users, web-users, or any of the many roles your facility requires.

The Zeus Rich-Web interface includes technologies that eliminate screen refreshes. This is what the old-school guys call “flicker.” And it also supports other traditional desktop features like drag-and-drop and auto-fill-in.

The power of Zeus comes from meticulous design that leverage the latest technologies. Zeus is developed in Microsoft’s .NET framework, using Microsoft’s Enterprise Software Standards and Practices. Overall, Zeus requirements are very light. Zeus runs on standard Internet Information Services (IIS) and SQL Server. IT departments love Zeus because of two main reasons. One, they are already very familiar with SQL and IIS applications from a deployment and backup standpoint. And two, most importantly, since Zeus is a 100% Rich-Web application, there is no need to initially install or update any client software to operate Zeus. A web-browser is all your users need. Other non-web-based systems claim to have automatic updates, but read the fine print. At a minimum, each user on each machine has to manually initiate the update and wait. We jokingly call that the automatic-manual update process. With Zeus, that’s never even an issue.
